Napa Valley 2011
The only winery in the region to continue production during Prohibition, Beaulieu Vineyard (BV) has remained an integral part of Napa Valley's rich and vibrant wine heritage. Their Tapestry Reserve, a blend of the 5 main red Bordeaux grape varieties, offers a New World take on an Old World style. Layered with flavors of blackberry, currant, plum, cedar and spice, the wine is balanced by lively acidity and supple tannins. While 2011 proved to be a difficult growing season for many wineries, BV has prevailed once again.
"Bright floral notes lead to tobacco, mint, licorice and pine, all in a brilliant, mid-weight wine long on minerality, focus and pure brilliance. This is a very strong showing." ~Antonio Galloni
